This Privacy Policy describes how SkeuCal ("we," "our," or "the Service"), operated by Skeuos as a Christian digital ministry platform, collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our scheduling and appointment booking application.
SkeuCal connects Christian volunteers who give their time with inquirers exploring questions about the Christian faith through Whatchu Believe?. We are deeply committed to user privacy. SkeuCal connects directly with your Google Account solely to provide seamless, automated calendar scheduling. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your information for targeted advertising or to train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) models.
2. Information We Collect
When you authenticate via Google OAuth, we receive authorized profile and calendar data:
Google Profile Information: Your primary email address, full name, and avatar image (via standard openid, email, and profile scopes).
Google Calendar Data: We request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events scope. This allows us to inspect free/busy availability on your primary calendar and create or update scheduled meeting events.
Booking Details: Information submitted by booking guests, including attendee name, email address, guest phone number (if required by meeting settings), and meeting notes.
3. How We Use Your Data
SkeuCal uses Google API data strictly to provide core scheduling functionality:
Conflict Detection (FreeBusy): Real-time querying of busy time slots so that invitees cannot double-book your calendar.
Event Creation & Google Meet: Programmatically creating calendar events with attendees and automated Google Meet conferencing links when a guest confirms an appointment.
Cancellation & Rescheduling: Updating or deleting calendar events when appointments are cancelled by hosts or attendees.
Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
SkeuCal's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular:
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties unless necessary to provide or improve user-facing features.
We do not use or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
We do not use Google user data to train or fine-tune machine learning or artificial intelligence (AI) models.
No humans at SkeuCal read your calendar data unless you provide explicit consent for troubleshooting, it is required for security investigations, or necessary to comply with applicable law.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your Google OAuth tokens (access tokens and refresh tokens) are securely stored in private database infrastructure with restricted access. Data in transit is protected using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3).
Tokens are retained only as long as you maintain an active account with SkeuCal. If an account is deleted or revoked, associated tokens and scheduling records are purged.
5. User Control, Revocation, and Data Deletion
You maintain full control over your Google Account access and stored information:
Revoking Access via Google: You can revoke SkeuCal's access to your Google Account at any time directly through Google's Security Settings at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions .
Requesting Account & Data Deletion: To request complete deletion of your SkeuCal account, associated Google profile data, stored OAuth credentials, and booking records, email our support team at support@skeucal.com. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
